Sabrina Moreno – Reporter, Axios Richmond

Sabrina Moreno is covering Richmond for Axios after a year on its national health care team, where she reported on federal drug policy, the opioid epidemic and mental health. 

Before then, she was a COVID-19 reporter at the Richmond Times-Dispatch focused on Virginia’s pandemic response and the virus’ impact on Latino and immigrant communities. That work awarded her Virginia’s Outstanding Young Journalist of the Year by the Virginia Press Association, and helped launch civil rights investigations against landlords and state agencies.
