Tyee Mallory – Senior Political Advisor and Public Service Professional
Tyee Davenport Mallory is an experienced senior political advisor and public service professional; Skilled in civil rights/ social justice advocacy, community organizing, government relations, constituent services, public engagement and political campaigns; She is a contract consultant to non-profit organizations and advocacy groups that elevate and support the under-represented; these organizations align with her world-view and ideals.
A veteran political professional of Virginia politics, and skilled campaign tactician, Tyee has worked for the campaigns of Congressman Bobby Scott, Jody Wagner, served as political director at the Democratic Party of Virginia, Senate Campaign for Tim Kaine, Served as Regional Director for 8 years, was the Deputy campaign manager and senior advisor to the Honorable Jennifer McClellan during her campaigns for Governor and her special election to Congress. Most recently Tyee was the Senior advisor to the Harris-Walz Coordinated Campaign in Virginia that delivered Virginia for Harris-Walz, re-elected Tim Kaine to the US Senate and kept all 6 house seats for Democrats in Virginia. Tyee had the honor of being selected as a member of the 2024 Electoral College of Virginia where the electors cast 13 voted in favor of Vice President Harris and Tim Walz for President and Vice President of the United States.
A lifelong conscious-leader, Tyee serves as President of the Richmond Section of the National Council of Negro Women which is an organization that leads, advocates and empowers women of African descent, their families and communities. She also serves on the board of directors of Greater Richmond S.C.A.N. (Stop Child Abuse Now) an organization dedicated to the prevention and support of the victims of child abuse and neglect. She serves the Girl Scouts as a troop leader for over 5 years and most recently she was appointed to the Board of the Henrico Economic Development Authority. She was previously appointed to the Commonwealth of Virginia Governor’s Advisory Board for Service and Volunteerism and a former NAACP community leader.
Tyee attended Virginia Tech University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing Management. She later earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Strayer University. Dedicated to professional and civic development, Tyee has earned certificates from the Grace Harris – Minority Political Leadership Institute at VCU and Leadership Metro Richmond. Tyee lives in the Richmond area with her husband and two daughters.
