Emily Hardy – Deputy Directory of the Center for Healthy Communities, Virginia Poverty Law Center
EMILY HARDY is the Deputy Director of the Center for Healthy Communities at Virginia Poverty Law Center and an elder law attorney. She advocates for administrative and legislative policy change to benefit low-income older adults in Virginia and assists legal aid attorneys on complex case issues. Previously, she worked as a legal aid attorney in Illinois representing older adults on a range of civil legal matters at the circuit and appellate level. She serves on Virginia’s Supreme Court Working Interdisciplinary Network of Guardianship Stakeholders, the Virginia Coalition for Prevention of Elder Abuse, and runs the Virginia Elder Rights Coalition.
Ms. Hardy received her B.A. and B.S. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and her J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.
