It’s campaign season and we are checking in with candidates all over the state:
Stella Pekarsky
As a first-generation American, Stella has always fought hard for the American dream and to ensure future generations have access to opportunities to achieve success. As a mother to six wonderful children and an educator, Stella understands the value of a high quality education. She has proudly taught or served on the PTA at 7 schools across our district and served on many local boards and organizations. In 2019, Stella stepped up to serve our community on the School Board, where she has fought to increase teacher pay, close the opportunity and access gaps, improve Title IX instruction and protections, and successfully stood up to Governor Youngkin’s partisan agenda to strip away our community’s control over our schools. Stella is 100% pro-choice, pro-climate, pro-clean government, and pro-gun safety.
A long-time Centreville resident and a small business owner, Stella and her husband are raising their six children in this wonderful community and are deeply invested in its future prosperity.
Kimberly Pope-Adams
Kimberly is a lifelong Virginian who loves calling Dinwiddie home. She’s an Accountant and Auditor who wants to bring accountability to the House of Delegates. Growing up in the “Five Forks” area of Hopewell, Kimberly has a deep-rooted connection to the traditions and culture of the Tri-Cities.
Her deep love for the area she grew up in is the cornerstone of why she’s running to serve the new 82nd District. Our District of Petersburg, Dinwiddie, Prince George, and Surry deserves a Delegate to fight for all of us. Kim is a mother whose community has seen hardships that were preventable. She’s ready to be a voice for a District that has long been ignored by Richmond. Kim will stand with farmers, local businesses, and community leaders to make our District thrive.
